All frozen food should remain frozen until you're ready to use it and should not be refrozen once thawed.
To thaw your frozen food:
- Take the desired number of mice, rats, etc., out of their packaging and place them in a ziplock bag, squeezing out as much air as possible before sealing.
- Put the ziplock bag into a heatproof container large enough to hold the food and enough water to fully submerge it. Fill the container with warm water.
- Allow the container and food to sit until fully thawed.
- Just before you're ready to remove the food, replace the water with hot water to ensure it reaches above room temperature.
